This Month in the Vineyard
Healdsburg's grapevines are lush green and are covered with immature
bunches of grapes. In July, vineyard workers often go through the
vines to strip away leaves to expose the grape clusters to sunlight,
making them juicy and flavorful. This year, the grapes are behind
and the new clusters are still quite small. Winemakers report that
it's still too early to predict this year's yield. Wine
tasting season is in full swing with many of our local wineries
offering
a taste
of
their
product
to
visitors.
July has traditionally had an incredible daily temperature range
of
50 degree lows to 87 degree highs. It’s a great month to visit some of Healdsburg’s many
wineries.
